HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), announced that DEWA commissioned 1,994 new 11kV substations in 2025, compared to 1,530 in 2024, representing an increase of more than 30%. This achievement supports DEWA’s strategy to enhance its electricity distribution network in line with the highest standards of efficiency, reliability and quality.

“We continue to work in line with the vision and directives of the wise leadership to develop and expand the distribution network infrastructure in accordance with the highest international standards, ensuring that the growing demand for electricity and water in Dubai is met, while supporting the emirate’s rapid economic and urban growth and addressing demand forecasts up to 2030.
